SINGAPOREPOPULATIONWhile both C. mydas <strong>and</strong> E. imbricata have been recorded in the waters ofneighbouring Malaysia <strong>and</strong> Indonesia, <strong>and</strong> both nest on isl<strong>and</strong>s in Indonesia'sRiau Province (Schulz, 1984), no information is available on theiroccurrence in Singapore. Turtles would be expected to occur on occasion inSingapore waters, but there appears to be very little nesting habitatavailableInternational trade Singapore acceded to CITES on 30 November 1986.CITES Annual Reports record the export to Singapore of various turtleproducts, <strong>and</strong> these are shown in Table 180. Several countries have reportedimporting small quantities of turtle products from Singapore, but the onlycommercial shipments recorded were 400 leg of scales <strong>and</strong> 200 skins ofC. mydas imported by Italy in 1981.Table 180.
