Bacon (1981) reported nesting at Scott'sHead, Canefield, Tarou, all bays between Salisbury <strong>and</strong> Portsmouth, DouglasBay, Thibaud, Melville Hall, Rosalie, <strong>and</strong> La Plaine.Nesting numbers Gregoire ( in litt. , 6 October 1986) considered nestingto be of low abundance <strong>and</strong> Edwards (198A) reported only three confirmednests in 1982. Bacon (1981), however, considered nesting to be frequent.Trends in nesting numbers Gregoire ( in litt. . 6 October 1986) consideredthe Green Turtle nesting population to be decreasing.Nesting season Carr et al. (1982) reported the nesting season to begin a"little later" than that of the Hawksbill (May to October).
