MiniRAE 3000 User’s GuideAdjusting The Pump Stall ThresholdIf the gas inlet is blocked but the pump does not shut down, or thepump shuts down too easily with a slight blockage, the pump stallthreshold value may be set too high or too low.Use the following steps to adjust the pump stall threshold:Pump HighIn Diagnostic Mode, press the [MODE] key until “Pump High” isdisplayed. The display shows the maximum, minimum, and stall valuesfor the pump at its high speed. Write down the “Max” reading.Block the gas inlet and watch the pump current reading (labeled “I”)increase. Write down its blocked reading. Note: If the pump currentreading does not increase significantly (less than 10 counts), then theremay be a leak in the gas inlet or the pump is weak or defective.Add the two readings you wrote down. This is the average of themaximum block count and the maximum idle count. Divide thatnumber by 2. Use the [Y/+] or [N/-] key to increase or decrease thestall value to equal that number.Press the [MODE] key to exit this display.Pump LowIn Diagnostic Mode, press the [MODE] key until “Pump Low” isdisplayed. The display shows the maximum, minimum, and stall valuesfor the pump at its low speed. Write down the “Max” reading.Block the gas inlet and watch the pump current reading (labeled “I”)increase.
