Mini<strong>RAE</strong> <strong>3000</strong> User’s <strong>Guide</strong>Sampling PumpWhen approaching the end of the specified lifetime of the pump, it willconsume higher amount of energy and reduce its sample drawcapability significantly. When this occurs, it is necessary to replace orrebuild the pump. When checking the pump flow, make sure that theinlet connector is tight and the inlet tubing is in good condition.Connect a flow meter to the gas inlet probe. The flow rate should beabove 450 cc/min when there is no air leakage.If the pump is not working properly, refer the instrument to qualifiedservice personnel for further testing and, if necessary, pump repair orreplacement.Cleaning The InstrumentOccasional cleaning with a soft cloth is recommended. Do not usedetergents or chemicals.Visually inspect the contacts at the base of the instrument, on thebattery, and on the charging cradle to make sure they are clean.
