6 Safety <strong>Welch</strong> <strong>Allyn</strong> <strong>AED</strong> <strong>10</strong> Automated External DefibrillatorImproper device performanceWARNING Properly use defibrillation pads.Do not attempt to warm the defibrillation pads with a heat source greaterthan 35° C (95° F). Do not immerse or clean defibrillation pads with alcohol orsolvents. Do not perform chest compressions (CPR) through defibrillationpads. These actions may damage the defibrillation pads and cause the <strong>AED</strong><strong>10</strong> to function improperly.WARNING Use only accessories approved by <strong>Welch</strong> <strong>Allyn</strong>.Do not use defibrillation pads, batteries, and other accessories not approvedby <strong>Welch</strong> <strong>Allyn</strong>. Use of unauthorized accessories may cause the device tooperate improperly and provide false measurements. Follow all labelinginstructions on the defibrillation pads and the battery.Caution Do not repeatedly charge and discharge the defibrillator in rapidsuccession.If a need for repetitive testing arises, wait at least 1 minute for every thirddischarge to avoid damaging equipment.Caution Improper maintenance can cause improper performance.Follow instructions in the <strong>User</strong>s <strong>Manual</strong>.
