70 Troubleshooting <strong>Welch</strong> <strong>Allyn</strong> <strong>AED</strong> <strong>10</strong> Automated External DefibrillatorAnalyzing interruptedIndicator/Possible CauseDefibrillator pad removed.Electrical interference or radio transmissions.Electrical/radio frequency interference.Corrective ActionPress defibrillation pad to firmly attach it to patient's skin.If needed, replace the pad.Remove possible sources of electrical or radiointerference.Move hand-held communication devices or othersuspected devices away from the <strong>AED</strong> <strong>10</strong>.Defibrillation pads disconnected from patient or <strong>AED</strong> <strong>10</strong>. Use the pictures on the pads tomake sure they are in correct location.Replace pads.Press pads firmly to patient’s bare chest.Wipe moisture from chest and/or shave excessive hairfrom chest.Replace the pad, if needed.Press Shock button within 30 seconds (Automated Mode)or 60 seconds (<strong>Manual</strong> Mode) after the ready message.Defibrillation pads disconnected from patient or <strong>AED</strong> <strong>10</strong>. Check the connection to the <strong>AED</strong> <strong>10</strong>.
