<strong>User</strong> <strong>Manual</strong> Programming 43Adjusting the contrastThe contrast of the <strong>Welch</strong> <strong>Allyn</strong> <strong>AED</strong> <strong>10</strong> liquid crystal display can be adjusted. There arefive pre-set contrast levels available. Use the Contrast Menu and the Next and Enter softkeys to change the LCD contrast.Main MenuVolumeContrastDateTimeLogContrast2SaveCancelContrast3SaveCancelContrast3SaveCancelSupervisorSetting the dateTo adjust the LCD contrast1. Access the Main Menu. Select Contrast to display the Contrast Menu.2. Press the Next soft key to change the contrast of the LCD. The display contrast willchange as the displayed value is incremented.3. Highlight Save by pressing Enter after the desired contrast has been selected. Pressthe Enter soft key again to confirm the change and return to the Main Menu.4. To leave the contrast at its original level, press Next when the Save box is highlightedto select the Cancel box. Press the Enter soft key to return to the Main Menu.Use the Date Menu to change the date. Access the Main Menu. Select Date and display the Date Menu.2. Highlight a field (month, day or year) by using the Enter soft key. Press the Next softkey to change the value of the field.3. To leave the date as it was originally, press Next when the Save box is highlighted toselect the Cancel box. Press the Enter soft key to return to the Main Menu.NoteSetting the date begins a new patient record in the entry log.
