He has devoted books <strong>and</strong> papers on Seneca, Virgil, Servius,Petronius, as well as to many other authors <strong>and</strong> problems.Ál i a Ro s a C. Ro d r i g u e s translated the seventh book of the QuaestionesConuiuales <strong>and</strong> assists the scholars work<strong>in</strong>g on the Portuguese <strong>Plutarch</strong> Project.Moreover, she is prepar<strong>in</strong>g a translation of the Life of Fabius Maximus. At themoment, she is work<strong>in</strong>g on her master’s thesis on Poetics <strong>and</strong> Hermeneutics <strong>and</strong>is also a collaborator on the Ancient Women’s Dictionary. She is about to starther PhD thesis on <strong>Plutarch</strong>’s Lives of Lycurgus <strong>and</strong> Numa.An a Vi c e n t e Sá n c h e z is Assistant Professor of Greek Philology at theUniversity of Zaragoza (Spa<strong>in</strong>) <strong>and</strong> has done research on Greek epistolography,the history of the Greek language <strong>and</strong> late antique literature.An a s t a s i o s G. Nikolaidis, Ph.D (London, K<strong>in</strong>g’s College) is Professorof Classics at the University of Crete, Greece. His research <strong>in</strong>terests <strong>and</strong>publications comprise <strong>Plutarch</strong> (mostly), Greek <strong>and</strong> Roman historiography(Herodotos, Thukydides, Sallust, Tacitus), Greek <strong>and</strong> Roman ethics (Platon,Aristoteles, Seneca), <strong>and</strong> Lat<strong>in</strong> love elegy (Ovid).An t o n i o Ig n a c i o Mo l i n a Ma r í n is Doctor of Ancient History at MurciaUniversity, Spa<strong>in</strong>. He has done research on the history of ancient Macedonia(Alex<strong>and</strong>er the Great) <strong>and</strong> Greek geography.Au r e l i o Pé r e z Ji m é n e z is Professor of Greek Philology at the University ofMálaga, Spa<strong>in</strong>. He has been president of the Spanish <strong>Plutarch</strong> Society ever s<strong>in</strong>ceits foundation <strong>in</strong> 1987, <strong>and</strong> presided over the International <strong>Plutarch</strong> Societyfrom 2002 to 2005. Among his works on <strong>Plutarch</strong> are Spanish translationsof fourteen Lives (1985, 1996, 2006) <strong>and</strong> the edition of the De capienda ex<strong>in</strong>imicis utilitate (2008) for the Corpus <strong>Plutarch</strong>i Moralium.Ca r l o s A. Ma r t i n s d e Je s u s is a PhD student at the University of Coimbra<strong>and</strong> fellow of the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT). He is currentlywork<strong>in</strong>g on Greek literature <strong>and</strong> myths, while prepar<strong>in</strong>g his PhD thesis onBacchylides. Among other th<strong>in</strong>gs, he is the author of several books <strong>and</strong> paperson Greek archaic poetry. He has also translated <strong>in</strong>to Portuguese Archilochus’fragments, Aristophanes’ Wasps <strong>and</strong> Epictetus’ Encheiridion. As for <strong>Plutarch</strong>,besides some papers <strong>in</strong> national <strong>and</strong> <strong>in</strong>ternational conferences, he has translatedbooks 4 <strong>and</strong> 6 of Table Talk, Amatorius <strong>and</strong> Amatoriae Narrationes, <strong>and</strong> is nowwork<strong>in</strong>g on a Portuguese version of the Life of Themistocles.567
