9.7.3.2 Use <strong>of</strong> the SCAP Written and VerbalThe conditions <strong>of</strong> isolation shall remain unchangeduntil the statement is cancelled.Any earths listed on the statement may be removedas requested by the recipient in accordance withClause 8.3The SCAP shall where practicable detail all relevantprecautions taken <strong>for</strong> the <strong>safety</strong> <strong>of</strong> the <strong>work</strong>party/ies. Where the precautions are detailed theyshall not be changed during the currency <strong>of</strong> theSCAP.Where it is not practicable to detail all suchprecautions, a general statement <strong>of</strong> the condition <strong>of</strong>the <strong>electrical</strong> apparatus (eg isolated and earthed)is acceptable provided that:(a)it is acceptable to the operating authorities;(b) it is acceptable to all recipients on theassociated <strong>electrical</strong> access permit orsanction <strong>for</strong> testing;(c)Access <strong>for</strong> Work on or Near High Voltage ElectricalApparatusthe authorised <strong>electrical</strong> operator issuing the<strong>electrical</strong> access permit or sanction <strong>for</strong> testingcan satisfy the recipients <strong>of</strong> the precautionstaken through demonstration or references todrawings, etc.Blue Book – December 2005 Page 105 <strong>of</strong> 148
