Low Voltage Net<strong>work</strong> Assets11.3 WORK ON OR NEAR DE-ENERGISED LOWVOLTAGE EXPOSED CONDUCTORS11.3.1 Except <strong>for</strong> protection, control systems,station service supplies auxiliary circuits and lowvoltage services an access authority shall beissued to <strong>work</strong> on or near the exposed conductors.For this purpose, an <strong>electrical</strong> access permit orother approved access authority may be used;11.3.2 The conductors shall be isolated wherepracticable;11.3.3 Exposed conductors shall be proved deenergisedin accordance with approvedprocedures. This shall include testing allconductors by an approved voltage test.11.3.4 Control measures shall be taken to:• prevent inadvertent contact with other liveexposed conductors, or objects at differentpotential; and• minimise the risks from hazardous inducedvoltages or unknown supplies.Page 114 <strong>of</strong> 148 Blue Book – December 2005
