Access <strong>for</strong> Work on or Near High Voltage ElectricalApparatuscan be suspended in accordance withorganisational procedures.9.5.2 Conditions <strong>for</strong> Suspension <strong>of</strong> an AccessAuthority• An access authority is not consideredsuspended until all recipients have signed <strong>of</strong>f.• Recipients sign <strong>of</strong>f and have no access to the<strong>electrical</strong> apparatus while the accessauthority is suspended.• The operating authority is in<strong>for</strong>med <strong>of</strong> thecondition/status <strong>of</strong> the <strong>electrical</strong> apparatus.9.5.3 Procedure <strong>for</strong> Suspension on an AccessAuthorityOrganisational procedures <strong>for</strong> suspension <strong>of</strong> anaccess authority shall ensure that:• The recipient /tester in charge ensures that allrecipients sign <strong>of</strong>f and are in<strong>for</strong>med that theaccess authority is suspended and no furtheraccess is permitted;• The operating authority is notified <strong>of</strong> thestatus <strong>of</strong> the <strong>electrical</strong> apparatus; and• While suspended the access authority isunder the control <strong>of</strong> the operating authority.Blue Book – December 2005 Page 95 <strong>of</strong> 148
