Access <strong>for</strong> Work on or Near High Voltage ElectricalApparatus9.3.2 Application <strong>for</strong> a Sanction <strong>for</strong> Testing9.3.2.1 Only an authorised applicant who canestablish that the <strong>work</strong> is properly planned and canbe done safely shall make an application <strong>for</strong> asanction <strong>for</strong> testing. The <strong>electrical</strong> apparatus andthe condition in which it is required shall beaccurately defined and the proposed testsadequately described.9.3.2.2 Where a Complementary Sanction <strong>for</strong>Testing is required; it shall be nominated on theoriginal application.9.3.2.3 Where the test is to be undertaken on<strong>electrical</strong> apparatus having more than one controlauthority involvement then protocols shall beestablished <strong>for</strong> processing the application and testrequirements.9.3.3 Persons Permitted to Sign on a Sanction<strong>for</strong> TestingPersons permitted to sign on a sanction <strong>for</strong> testingshall be authorised testers or be instructed personsto <strong>work</strong> under that specific sanction <strong>for</strong> testing.In the latter case, it shall be the responsibility <strong>of</strong> thetester in charge or the Tester Responsible at theRemote Location to ensure that such persons arePage 90 <strong>of</strong> 148 Blue Book – December 2005
