Access <strong>for</strong> Work on or Near High Voltage ElectricalApparatus• ensure that all recipients signed on the<strong>electrical</strong> access permit have ceased <strong>work</strong>covered by the <strong>electrical</strong> access permit andhave signed <strong>of</strong>f;• ensure that all recipients and equipment areclear and will remain clear <strong>of</strong> the <strong>electrical</strong>apparatus;• sign <strong>of</strong>f the <strong>electrical</strong> access permit as therecipient-in-charge to indicate that the<strong>electrical</strong> access permit can be cancelled; and• Advise the operating authority <strong>of</strong> any condition<strong>of</strong> the <strong>electrical</strong> apparatus which couldaffect its operation.9.2.14.3 Absence <strong>of</strong> a Recipient atRelinquishmentThe <strong>practice</strong> <strong>of</strong> signing <strong>of</strong>f an <strong>electrical</strong> accesspermit on behalf <strong>of</strong> another person is undesirableand should be avoided.Appropriate organisation procedures should beimplemented with instructions <strong>for</strong> signing <strong>of</strong>frecipients where the recipients could not belocated.Blue Book – December 2005 Page 87 <strong>of</strong> 148
