Access <strong>for</strong> Work on or Near High Voltage ElectricalApparatus9.2.7 Rejection <strong>of</strong> a RecipientA person shall recommend the exclusion from an<strong>electrical</strong> access permit <strong>of</strong> any other person who atanytime is considered unsafe as a recipient. Suchinstances shall be reported promptly to the personin charge <strong>of</strong> the <strong>work</strong>.9.2.8 Absence <strong>of</strong> an Earth on ElectricalApparatus Under Electrical Access PermitWherever practicable <strong>electrical</strong> apparatus shall beearthed be<strong>for</strong>e the issue <strong>of</strong> an <strong>electrical</strong> accesspermit.Where an earth has not been applied to <strong>electrical</strong>apparatus prior to the issue <strong>of</strong> an <strong>electrical</strong> accesspermit the recipient in charge shall arrange <strong>for</strong>discharging and/or earthing <strong>of</strong> the <strong>electrical</strong>apparatus be<strong>for</strong>e any recipient touches the highvoltage conductors.9.2.9 Recipient Working AloneAn <strong>electrical</strong> access permit may be issued to oneauthorised recipient, or a recipient may <strong>work</strong> aloneunder the terms <strong>of</strong> an <strong>electrical</strong> access permit, onlyin accordance with Organisational procedures.Page 84 <strong>of</strong> 148 Blue Book – December 2005
