Front Panel OperationSCAN CHANNELS 1!1-1!40, 2!1-2!40, 3!1-3!40, 4!1-4!40, 5!1-5!40,5!1, 6!1-6!40, 7!1-7!40, 8!1-8!40, 9!1-9!40, 10!1-10!40,The above scan list contains 401 channels. It includes 10range entries of 40 channels each, and one single channelentry (5!1). The 400th channel in the list is channel10!39. Since this channel is inside channel range 10!1-10!40, all 40 channels of that range will be ignoredwhen the scan is performed. Channel 9!40 will be thelast channel in the scan.Use the following procedures to create a channel list and/ora scan list. The first procedure (paragraph 4.8.1) creates a listusing the front panel keys, while the second procedure (paragraph4.8.2) creates a list using the optional light pen.4.8.1 Keypad entry methodPerform the following steps to create a channel list or scanlist using the front panel keys:Step 1: Make sure appropriate list is selected.Open/close operations use the channel list, and scan operationsuse the scan list. The SCAN LIST key toggles betweenthe channel list and the scan list. If the desired list is not alreadydisplayed, press SCAN LIST. Note that pressing EXITwill also select the channel list.NOTEIf you want to display the channels of theselected list on the LED display, makesure that the list display mode is selected.Paragraph 4.6.3 explains how to changethe display mode.A previously defined list can be cleared from the display bypressing the CLEAR LIST key.Step 2: Enter slot number and card channel.1. Enter slot number ⎯ Using the keypad, enter the slotnumber (1 through 10). The separator between slot andchannel will automatically be entered after you key inthe slot number. For example, if you selected slot 2, theentered channel data will look like one of these:SCAN CHANNELS 2!2. Enter card channel:Non-matrix type card ⎯ For a non-matrix type card, usethe keypad to enter the card channel number. For example,if you entered channel 20 (with slot 2 previously selected),the entered channel data will look like one ofthese:SELECT CHANNELS 2!20SCAN CHANNELS 2!20Matrix card ⎯ For a matrix card, use the keypad to firstenter the row number (1 through 4), and then the columnnumber. The separator between row and column will automaticallybe inserted after you enter the row number.For example, if you entered row 3, column 6 (with slot2 previously selected), the entered channel data willlook like one of these:SELECT CHANNELS 2!3!6SCAN CHANNELS 2!3!6NOTEThe <strong>Model</strong> 7002 can store up to 500 channelpatterns in memory locations M1through M500. A channel pattern is simplya pattern of open and closed channels.A channel pattern can be entered by simplykeying in the memory location usingthe “M” key on the keypad. For example,assume memory location M1 contains aspecific channel pattern. Enter the channelpattern by simply keying in M1 from thekeypad.
