To cancel an information message, pressEXIT or INFO a second time.9. The ENTER, EXIT, and keys have LED counterparts.Thus, with the optional light pen, you can clickthese LEDs instead of pressing the keys.4.12.1 SAVESETUPThe SAVESETUP menu is used for the following operations:• Save the current setup conditions in memory for futurerecall. Up to 10 setups can be saved in memory.• Restore the instrument to setup conditions stored inmemory.• Set up the power-on (PWRON) configuration. The instrumentcan be set to power-on to the factory defaultsetup conditions, or power-on to the setup conditionsstored at a specified memory location.• Reset the instrument to the original power-on setupconditions.Perform the following steps to display the SAVESETUPmenu:1. Press MENU to display the MAIN MENU.2. Use the cursor keys ( and ) to place the cursor onSAVESETUP, and press ENTER to access the followingmenu:SETUP MENUSAVE RESTORE PWRON RESETSAVE — Use this menu item to save the current setup conditionsin memory at a specified memory location. To selectSAVE, place the cursor on SAVE and press ENTER. The followingtypical message will be displayed:SAVE SETUP #0 (0-9)1. To save the current setup at the displayed memory location,press ENTER. The instrument will return to theSETUP MENU.2. To save the current setup to a different memory location,key in a value (0 to 9) and press ENTER. The instrumentwill return to the SETUP MENU.RESTORE — Use this menu item to return the instrumentto the setup conditions that are stored in memory at a specifiedmemory location. To select RESTORE, place the cursoron RESTORE and press ENTER. The following typical messagewill be displayed:RESTORE SETUP #01. To restore the instrument to the setup conditions storedat the displayed memory location, press ENTER. Theinstrument will return to the SETUP MENU.2. To restore the instrument to the setup conditions storedat a different memory location, key in the memory location(0 to 9) and press ENTER. The instrument will returnto the SETUP MENU.PWRON — Use this menu item to select the setup conditionsthat the instrument will power-on to. To select thePWRON menu item, place the cursor on PWRON and pressENTER. The following menu will be displayed:SET POWER-ON DEFAULTFACTORY-DEFAULT USER-SETUPFACTORY DEFAULT — With this selection, the instrumentwill return to the factory default conditions (see Table4-4) the next time it is turned on. To select the FACTORY-DEFAULT menu item, place the cursor on FACTORY-DE-FAULT and press ENTER. The instrument will return to theSETUP MENU.USER SETUP — Using this selection, the instrument willpower-on to the setup conditions saved at a specified memorylocation. To select USER-SETUP, place the cursor onUSER-SETUP and press ENTER. The following typicalmessage will then be displayed:PWRON DEFAULT = #04-31
