Operating the CG-5 in the FieldIf you have enabled the terrain correction process,you will notice that a TERCOR option is enabledbefore the LEVEL option, as illustrated below.In this screen the station, line and elevation information can be entered. Notethat Ambient Temperature appears in place of the Elevation if the RecordAmbient Temperature option is selected in the Options Screen.Note:The Options Screen can be easily accessed atthis point by pushing the F1 key.If you have not enabled the terrain correctionprocess, please proceed immediately to “Levelingthe CG-5” on page 3-16.Applying Terrain CorrectionsOne of the features incorporated into the CG-5 is the ability to apply terraincorrections to gravity data. The method is based on the standard Hammercomputation1 with four zones around the reading point.
