Setting Up Your InstrumentUsing the Options ScreenThe Options setup item enables you to set recording parameters, including:• Read times• Cycle times• Number of cycles• Start delay• Line Separation• Station separation• Auto station increment• LCD Heater• Record ambient temperatureThis section describes the allowed values and the effect of using each optionin a survey.Defining Reading and Cycling OptionsThe CG-5 has a number of reading modes:• for single readings choose an appropriate read time Number of cyclesYou also have two options for carrying out repeat readings at the samestation:• Auto - repeat mode: set the # of Cycles to any value between 1 and 99998and the reading will be repeated for the cycle number - e.g. if # of Cycles isset to 2, two readings will be made. The interval between the start ofconsecutive readings will be Read Time + 3 seconds.• Base Station mode: set the # of Cycles to 99999 and the instrumentsautomatically repeats readings at an interval which is specified by the CycleTime.
