Operating the CG-5 in the FieldPRESSF5Press the F5 key or the MEASURE key.The following screen is displayed:The 6 Hz raw output of the gravity sensor isdisplayed graphically in ‘real time’ with an updaterate of approximately once per second. The fullscale of the graph (FS) is shown in the top right handcorner of the screen and can be adjusted up or downusing the F1 and F2 keys.The system continues to measure until the read timeis elapsed. Note that if the instrument is inauto-repeat or base station mode it will keep readinguntil the last cycle is completed (or the F5 key is pushed). The Read Time, Cycle Time andNumber of Cycles are set through the OPTIONSscreen. For more details, see Chapter 2, “Setting Upyour Instrument” and the “Using the OptionsScreen” topic that starts on page 2-15.Note:You can also stop your reading at any time duringthe reading process by pressing the F5 key.3-18CG-5 Manual - part # 867700 Revision 2
Performing Data AcquisitionReviewing Raw DataWhen the measurement is stopped automatically ormanually, the system updates the display as shownbelow:Before calculating the final data the gravity, tiltx andtilty graphs for the last reading can be reviewedusing the F3 and F4 keys.PRESSF5Reviewing Final DataPress the F5 key. The followingscreen is displayed. The Current column containsthe current gravity value after filtering and with allcorrections applied together with the other measuredvariables, time and station information. Initially thelast recorded reading is displayed in the Precedingcolumn.
