Setting Up Your InstrumentImportant:The Survey identifier is required for any data file.You cannot use duplicate survey names. (i.e eachsurvey identifier must be unique.)PRESSENTERWhen the survey name is correct, press the ENTERkey to acknowledge your choice.Specifying Optional HeaderParametersShould you wish to enter values for the otherparameters, follow the same steps as mentioned forthe Survey identifier. Using the Survey ScreenSpecifying Grid Reference PointParametersIf you want to include a grid reference point for yoursurvey, you can specify the following parameters:Easting:The easting is the east coordinate of your gridreference point. This number can be set to any valuefrom -999999 to 999999 (or E/W).Northing:The northing is the north coordinate of your gridreference point. This number can be set to any valuefrom -99999999 to 99999999 (or N/S).Azimuth:The azimuth value is the direction, clockwise fromtrue North, of your grid system.SetupAltitude:The altitude is the value of the elevation of your gridreference point, either above mean sea level orrelative to any particular point. This number can beset to any value from ±50000.UTM Zone:The UTM zone of your grid reference point.
