Operating the CG-5 in the FieldStarting the CG-5 Dump ProcessPRESSF1Press the F1 key on the CG-5 toinitiate a data dump; a message indicating that thedata is being transferred will appear in the lower lefthand corner of the console screen.Note:To abort the dump process while the data is beingtransferred, press the F1 key.Starting the SCTUTIL Dump ProcessOn your PC, in the Dump window of the SCTUTILprogram, click on START DUMP. Dumping DataYou will then be prompted to choose a file name foryour data, as per the screen illustrated below:Note:The default name of your file follows the followingformat: time (24 HRS) minutes month date year. TheCG-5 will dump in <strong>Scintrex</strong> Geophysical Databaseformat. Please see below for a definition of the*.SGD format.Click on the Open button. You will then notice the“ON-LINE” message appears and that the data isbeing transferred, and a bar graph shows theprogress of the transfer process.
