Place the Autograv on the tripod in a quietlocation with a solid floor (concrete ispreferable). A wooden floor or carpet is notsuitable.b. On a piece of protective foam, lay theAutograv down on its front and view thebottom of the instrument. See the figurebelow:PRESSPRESSFigure 5-6 - Bottom of Autograv Slider Plate. The slider plateis the horizontal grey plate with a cone and vee-grooveand two screws shown above.c. Loosen the two screws on the slider plateuntil the plate can slide freely.d. Raise the tripod feet eight (8) turns from theirbottom positions.MEASURECLRF5e. Place the instrument onto the tripod.f. Press the MEASURE CLR followed by theF5 key to prepare for leveling.g.
