Adjusting Instrument ParametersPRESSMEASURECLRPress the key. The Autogravnow automatically takes and records a reading onceevery 60 seconds (57 sec for each reading and threeseconds for calculation overhead).MaintenanceAfter approximately 12-24 hours, press the F5 key. The system automatically displays amessage box showing the old and new drift constantvalues and the standard deviation for the estimate ofthe new value.Accept or decline the new value as directed. If youaccept, the new Drift constant is automaticallyupdated in the system.Note that the period for measuring the drift constantis arbitrary - for best results 12 to 24 hours isrecommended.Adjusting Drift ManuallyAs an alternative to the drift correction method provided in the CG-5software, some users may prefer to use traditional manual methods ofevaluating drift.Measuring DriftFirst set the instrument up on the tripod on a stablesurface in a quiet location.Access the Options menu and set the CG-5 inauto-repeat mode with a suitable read time. Forexample set read time = 57s, cycle time = 75s andnumber of cycles = 99999.
