Maintaining Your CG-5 and Trouble-shootingAdjust the tripod until X = 150±10 and Y = 0±5 inthe LEVELING screenPRESSF2Press the F2 key. The systemmeasures until the reading time has elapsed or theF5 key is pressed.PRESSPRESSPRESSF5F3F4Press the F5 key to view the datain the AUTOGRAV FINAL DATA screen. Thesystem then overlays a User Calibration windowwith:• values of tilt and gravity readings• the existing Tilt X Sensitivity (Old XSensitivity)• the new calculated Tilt X Sensitivity (New XSensitivity)Press F2 to accept or F3 to reject the New XSensitivity. If the value is accepted the instrumentinternal constants are automatically updated.Repeat the measurement of Tilt X Sensitivity tocheck that the values for R0 and R1 are zero or closeto zero.Adjusting Y-axis SensitivityThis process is analogous to the process forobtaining X-axis sensitivity measurements.In this case, however, you will level the instrumentuntil Y = 0 +/- 10 and X = 0 +/- 5 and press F3.You will then adjust the tripod until Y = 150 +/- 10and X = 0 +/- 5, and press F4.PRESSENTERWhen both the X and Y Sensitivity measurementsare completed return to the Service menu and turnthe User calibration off with the Enter key.5-28CG-5 Manual - part # 867700 Revision 2
