Starting CG5REMOTE and Linking tothe AutogravThe process for acquiring data remotely includes thesteps below. This process assumes that you are usinga RS-232 serial connection as your communicationmode:Attach your RS-232 cable to your PersonalComputer and to the Autograv.Turn the Autograv on.Run the CG5REMOTE program and select theCommunication menu in the CG5REMOTE screen.The system displays the following drop-down menu:Select the Connect via cable option. The CG-5displays a “Remote On ... CG-5 Device OK”message.Your Personal Computer also displays a mesageindicating that the system is connected.A-10CG-5 Manual - part # 867700 Revision 2
You are now ready to configure the system.Configuring Survey SettingsTo configure your Survey settings, select the Surveyicon in the CG5REMOTE screen. The systemdisplays the following screenRemoteType a unique survey identifier and other parameters(optional).If you want to specify a Station Designation Systemas well, press the Station Designation button.
