Consolidated Catalogue, 1 953
The Canadian Government Publications Consolidated Catalogue,
1953, supersedes the Catalogue of 1948 and supplements
to 1952 and incorporates all the entries from the Monthly Catalogue
of Canadian Government Publications, January to September, 1953
inclusive. This catalogue, published in separate English and French
editions, records free as well as priced publications, whether distributed
by the Queen's Printer or bV the various issuing agencies.
Annual Catalogues, 1954-
The Annual Catalogue, 1954, is a supplement to the Consolidated
Catalogue 1953. It lists all federal publications received and
noted by the Publications Branch from October, 1953 to December,
1954 inclusive and is also published in French.
The bilingual Annual Catalogues of Canadian Government
Publications for 1955 and after are consolidated lists of the publications
issued during those years. They cumulate the issues of
the Monthly Catalogue of Canadian Government Publications, from
January to December.
Sectional catalogues
The sectional catalogue series will provide, when completed,
a comprehensive record of all publications available for purchase
arranged according to Government departments and including
a selection of important related publications issued by Parliament,
and by the various departments and agencies of the Government
of Canada. The Sectional Catalogues will provide a subject approach
to the many thousands of publications which form the sales stock
of the Queen's Printer.
The following department sectional catalogues are now a.vailable:
Labour Publications, September 1958; Northern Affairs and
National Resources Publications, June 1956; Mines and Technical
Surveys Department, Mines Branch Publications, August ,1957.
Selected Titles Bulletins
Published 'periodically, in French or in English, they contain
short notes of current government publications. The contents of each
book are briefly described and an order form accompanies each
bulletin. Anyone interested may receive these bulletins simply
by sending a postcard to the Queen's Printer asking to be placed
on the Selected Titles mailing list.
(b) Sale of Government publications
The distribution of official documents, .on a commercial basis is
the responsibility of the Queen's Printer.
Remittances
It is required by law that remittance be made in advance of
shipment of publications. Cheque or money orders should be made
payable to the Receiver General of Canada. Currency may be sent
at sender's risk. Postage stamps and foreign money are not accepted.
