Depending on a site’s purpose, other tools to promote interactivity <strong>and</strong> communication<br />

could be used. For example, blogs have become an increasingly important internal <strong>and</strong> external<br />

tool for promoting interactivity <strong>and</strong> communication between companies <strong>and</strong> their vendors,<br />

customers, <strong>and</strong> other business partners. Companies as diverse as Eastman Kodak, Southwest<br />

Airlines, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, <strong>and</strong> The Clorox Company (Figure 2-3) host blogs that<br />

encourage interactivity <strong>and</strong> communication.<br />
