1. The kula plays musical instruments <strong>and</strong> sings a song of praise <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> student.<br />

Oh great being, hold <strong>the</strong> <strong>Great</strong> <strong>Bliss</strong>.<br />

Until <strong>the</strong> attainment of enlightenment, act for <strong>the</strong> benefit of beings.<br />

This is <strong>the</strong> <strong>Great</strong> Wisdom located in all bodies.<br />

By utilizing <strong>the</strong>se practices, <strong>the</strong> eternal state is attained without doubt.<br />

2. The guru says <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> students, “Through <strong>the</strong> Ritual of Entering <strong>the</strong> Maṇḍala, you have<br />

obtained <strong>the</strong> unbreakable vow of <strong>the</strong> deity <strong>and</strong> consort <strong>to</strong> support you in your path <strong>to</strong><br />

enlightenment. Through <strong>the</strong> Master Consecration, you have established <strong>the</strong> irreversibility of your<br />

path <strong>and</strong> planted <strong>the</strong> seeds for you <strong>to</strong> teach <strong>and</strong> liberate o<strong>the</strong>rs.”<br />

3. The guru silently displays <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> students <strong>the</strong> coded sign language (chomā) that expresses <strong>the</strong><br />

ineffability of ultimate reality. These h<strong>and</strong> symbols communicate beyond <strong>the</strong> student’s<br />

conceptual mind <strong>to</strong> repattern <strong>the</strong>ir mind symbolically <strong>to</strong>wards enlightenment. These are: Yoni<br />

Mudrā, Liṅgaṃ Mudrā, <strong>and</strong> Padma Mudrā.<br />

4. The students offer Añjali Mudrā <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> guru, <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> guru gives <strong>the</strong>m each a deity image card.<br />

5. The students give a donation in gratitude <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> guru.<br />

6. The guru <strong>and</strong> students close <strong>the</strong> consecration by reciting <strong>the</strong> Dedication of Merit.<br />

puṇyaṃ prabhūtaṃ yad ihāpi sarvaṃ saṃbodhaye tat pariṇāmayāmi<br />

“I dedicate all merit arisen here for <strong>the</strong> goal of complete <strong>and</strong> perfect enlightenment.”<br />
