into “Rehabilitation Without Walls” <strong>as</strong> an instrument in achieving World Peace.<br />

As Dr. Lee summarized, “<strong>Music</strong> is a universal, innate language… with no natural boundaries…<br />

Its very accessibility is a vital argument <strong>for</strong> its widespread usage, particularly, but not only, in<br />

developing nations with scarce monetary resources.”<br />

<strong>Music</strong> emanates from the deepest part of a person’s soul and connects people across cultures,<br />

continents and religious beliefs. This compendium draws from one-fifth of the world’s nations,<br />

and demonstrates how music can bridge gaps between socio-economic cl<strong>as</strong>ses, age-groups, and<br />

reaches a variety of populations that are underserved. The committee is to be commended <strong>for</strong><br />

their selfless work and their untiring ef<strong>for</strong>ts to honor the work of one of the first proponents, Dr.<br />
