FINDINGS ON MY EXPERIENCE AS A.TRANSPORT CLERK IN TlE<br />

UGANDA - COOPERATIVE IRANSPORT UNION L) (UCTU)<br />

.I am very grateful to submit m.: findings pertaining to the<br />

experience I have.,undergone.during th4e,.hort period of 5- months while<br />

working.with the above mentioned unignl,A-that is from 15 April 1982 up<br />

to date, execitingthe duties of a trapsport .clerk.<br />

.I must confess I have found my:rob most intercsting; and educative<br />

e,great interest in learning the transport econmy and<br />

and,,with t1 orgeni.r tion, I took trouble to examine, the faotors that could be of help<br />

uid workers in<br />

in r'ectifying the standard of transport.. rganis tion<br />

.ticular and thu'. achieving efficiency,and productivity. My report<br />

is'further intended to expose handicaps .that could reta:,d the efficiency oZ<br />

the union and finally I ntend to conciude by suggesting volutions<br />

to overcome the mentioned economic bottlenecks.<br />

Vis-a-vis the above,' I wish to"' pell out the duties I carrie'd out as<br />

a transport clerk.<br />
