• L4 Link 4, carrier frequency = 1379.913 MHz; ionospheric correction.
And in the future:
• L5 Link 5, carrier frequency = 1176.45 MHz +/- 12MHz (operational by 2008,
and planned for use in critical safety of life applications such as world-wide civil
aviation – note however that there has been no decision yet taken on the use of
this frequency within the UK).
For GLONASS (Russian Federation military-based Global Navigation Satellite System):
• L1 = 1598.0625 – 1605.375MHz +/- 5.11MHz. Note that 1610.485 – 1614.4225
MHz is currently assigned to GLONASS L1, but will be re-allocated by 2005.
• L2 = 1242.9375 – 1248.625MHz +/- 5.11MHz. Note that 1253.735 – 1256.7975
MHz is currently assigned to GLONASS L2, but is due to be re-allocated by
2005.
For Galileo (European GNSS):
• E1: 1587-1591MHz and E2 – 1559-1563MHz – these are also commonly
referred to as E2-L1-E1, as they are co-located with the L1 GPS signal.
• E4: 1254-1258MHz.
• E5: Galileo carrier frequency = 1198 MHz (planned for operation by 2008-2010)
with significant sidelobes up to +/- 10MHz (in effect, there are two separate
carrier frequencies – E5a and E5b – at 1176.45MHz and 1202.025MHz
respectively). Note that the allocation given by WRC2000 is 1164-1215MHz.
• E6: Galileo carrier frequency = 1278.75MHz +/- 10MHz. (WRC2000 allocation of
1260-1300MHz).
• C1 – Galileo = 5010-5030MHz.
There is also an Earth-space allocation from 1300-1350MHz for RNSS earth stations.
