values were lower than fluctuation of COD (14.04-16.82 ppm) and average of<br />

COD (14.04 ± 1.2 ppm) in treatment II. According to V in b e r g (1962), these<br />

values were shown as highly nutrient in earthen ponds.<br />

Regarding the H2S parameters, figure 13 shows that the fluctuation of H2S in<br />

treatment I ranged from 0.02 to 0.14 ppm, the average of H2S concentrations was<br />

0.02 ± 0.01 ppm. These values were lower than treatment II of 0.05-0.19 ppm<br />

(fluctuation of H2S) and 0.05 ± 0.02 ppm (average of H2S) but with no significant<br />

difference (p > 0.05) between both treatments. However, climbing perch
