- The fin<strong>al</strong> constituents are energy particulars that are not corpuscular,<br />
-<br />
but compose a double sided or dipole 'matter-mind', (the<br />
psychophysic<strong>al</strong> constituents), which is responsible for the appearance<br />
of dispositions and intention<strong>al</strong>ity.<br />
2- Postulates of the vertic<strong>al</strong> inter-levels relations<br />
Eliminating the postulate of complete reduction as proven to be inconsistent with<br />
contemporary scientific facts (the failure of reducing the ment<strong>al</strong>, and the failure<br />
of the grand unifying theory), then we have the following:<br />
- Parti<strong>al</strong> reduction between only two successive levels (supervenience<br />
in the week sense), based on disposition, governed by inter-level<br />
vertic<strong>al</strong> laws.<br />
- Holism, upper level affects lower level (downward causation), based<br />
-<br />
on the psycho-physic<strong>al</strong> constituents, governed by inter-levels vertic<strong>al</strong><br />
laws.<br />
3- Postulates of the horizont<strong>al</strong> caus<strong>al</strong> relations<br />
Eliminating the postulate of determinism as well as non scientific teleology<br />
(i.e., that which is not linked to function<strong>al</strong>ism or human intention<strong>al</strong>ity) as in<br />
contradiction with contemporary scientific facts, we have the following:<br />
- Probabilistic caus<strong>al</strong> indeterminism (including self-organizing systems),<br />
based on dispositions endowed to the fin<strong>al</strong> constituents.<br />
- Probabilistic ment<strong>al</strong> causation (including intention<strong>al</strong>ity), which is based<br />
on the psycho-physic<strong>al</strong> properties<br />
Hence, instead of the indivisible atoms that represent <strong>al</strong>l levels of nature through<br />
reduction and interact through Newtonian laws, we have a new picture. That is a<br />
