La scrittura viene evocata e la narrazione acquista il fascino
di rinviare ad un altro strumento comunicativo,
quello che dice, che concettualizza, che colora e dà tono.
Attenzione, però: anche questo è un gioco. Non fatevi
imbrigliare dai borghi illuminati di Costanzo passeggiando
tra le sue viuzze e sui suoi tetti; non avventuratevi nei
suoi “borghi felicita”, nelle sue “nevicate”, nelle sue
“brezze marine” o nei suoi “pulviscoli lunari”. Sfuggite alle
sue “attenzioni” ed alle sue “solitudini”, non cercate di dar
nome alle cose che vedrete: esse non ne hanno, nessuno
è mai riuscito a contenerle in un semplice nome. Non
lasciatevi tentare dall’idea di trovare risposte.
Le opere di Costanzo possono solo proporvi domande: è
questo il loro pregio ultimo.
Scoprirete così che fra le messi di parole, le mie e le
altrui comprese, le opere di Fabrizio Costanzo sanno
esprimere la semplicità del silenzio, il silenzio che avvolge
e condiziona ogni sua opera, quasi un invito pressante
a far smettere la fola di suoni che spesso ci avvolge,
e a far spazio, magari per una volta, all’osservazione
ed all’emozione che da essa deriva.
Writing is evoked and narration acquires the charm to
send back to another communicative instrument, the one
that says, that gives the idea, that gives colours and
tone. But pay attention: this is a play, too. Do not get deceived
by Costanzo’s illuminated villages while walking in
its little streets and on its roofs; do not go through his
“happy villages”, “snow-falls”, “breezes” or “lunar dust”.
Avoid his “cares” and his “loneliness”, do not try to give a
name to things that you will see: they have none, nobody
has ever succeeded in containing them into a simple name.
Do not get tempteted by the idea to find any answer.
Costanzo’s works can only give questions: this is their
last merit.
Then you will discover that among the so many words,
mine and those of the others, Fabrizio Costanzo’s works
can express the simplicity of silence, the silence that covers
and influences each of his works, almost an invitation
to stop the fairytale of sounds that often wraps us,
and to give space, even if for once, to observation and
emotion that comes from it.
