Jim Chew currently mentors cross-cultural workers in the Asia-Pacific<br />

region. He and his wife Selene are Singaporeans who have served with The<br />

Navigators since 1963. Jim graduated in Economics at the University of Malaya<br />

in Singapore. After training with The Navigators in Vietnam in 1960, he<br />

ministered with Singapore Youth for Christ. The Chews initiated the Navigator<br />

work in Malaysia in 1966, after which they spent four years in New Zealand.<br />

Jim directed the work for a period of time. The Chews then ministered in the<br />

Asia-Pacific region, leading the Singapore work in the 1980s.<br />

Jim is a member of the Mission Commission of the <strong>World</strong> <strong>Evangelical</strong><br />

<strong>Alliance</strong> and on the Lausanne Leadership Development Working Group<br />

mentoring younger leaders. The Chews are missionaries of Bethesda Katong<br />

Church, Singapore. They live in Wellington, New Zealand, where Jim is an elder<br />

of The Street City Church.
