Six authorities (two WCAs, one UA and three WDAs) did not answer this question.
1. The respondent indiciated that the EMS was being developed by the contractor.
All the authorities were asked about whether they had or were intending to develop a quality
management system (QMS). From the following table it can be seen that 10 of the 16
respondents had or intended to develop a QMS, whilst 6 do not plan to do so. Seven have
some form of system in place at present, three of which is certified to ISO 9002. Seven
authorities did not answer this question.
