• Named the seventh-best prospect in the Tigers organization following the season by Baseball America.<br />

Selected by Detroit in the sixth round of the June 2011 draft, he was assigned to the Gulf Coast League Tigers to begin<br />

his professional career.<br />

• Had his contract transferred from the Gulf Coast League Tigers to Single A Connecticut for the remainder of the<br />

season on July 21 -- tied for fifth in the New York-Penn League with eight home runs.<br />

• Rated as having the second-best pro debut among all junior college players selected in the draft by Baseball America.<br />

• Belted a season-high two home runs on July 30 versus Batavia.<br />

• Compiled a six-game winning streak with the Mud Hens April 20-July 6 -- posted a 2.54 ERA (63.2IP/18ER) and 63<br />

strikeouts during the 10-start stretch.<br />

• Fanned a season-high 10 batters on May 26 at Pawtucket.<br />

• Recalled from Toledo by the Tigers on June 1 -- made his major league debut that night versus the New York Yankees,<br />
