The 2013 season will mark Infante’s eighth season with the Tigers, his second season during his second stint with
Detroit after being acquired by the club during the 2012 season.
• Selected to the National League all-star squad with the Atlanta Braves in 2010.
• Selected the National League Player of the Week once during his career.
• Selected to participate in the Futures Game held prior to Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game in 2002.
SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
Opened the 2012 season with the Miami Marlins before being acquired by the Tigers in a five-player deal (both clubs
swapped a compensation draft choice as well) on July 23.
• Matched a career high with two home runs on April 9 at Philadelphia.
• Batted .323 (20x62) with six doubles, two triples, five home runs and seven RBI in 18 games during April.
• Collected four hits on May 15 versus Pittsburgh to equal a career high -- matched the high with four hits on May 24
versus San Francisico and August 5 versus Cleveland.
• Hit .314 (32x102) with seven doubles, a home run and 13 RBI in 26 games during May.
• Compiled a season-high 10-game hitting streak July 29-August 9, batting .405 (15x37).
• Collected the 1,000th hit of his major league career on September 8 at the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, a runscoring
single off C.J. Wilson.
