SEASON HIGHLIGHTS<br />

Completed his first season with the Tigers in 2012, appearing in 57 games.<br />

• Sixth among all American League relievers with 5.17 strikeouts per walk.<br />

• Did not allow a run over his first nine appearances April 7-28, fanning 10 batters in 8.2 scoreless innings.<br />

• Made the 700th appearance of his major league career on April 21 versus Texas -- became the 93rd pitcher in major<br />

league history to appear in 700 games.<br />

• Fanned a season-high four batters on May 26 at Minnesota -- equaled the high with four strikeouts on July 22 versus<br />

the Chicago White Sox.<br />

• Sidelined June 3-19 with right elbow inflammation.<br />

• Posted a season-high four-game winning streak July 5-August 31.<br />

• Compiled a 2-0 record, 1.86 ERA (9.2IP/2ER) and 11 strikeouts in nine outings during July.<br />
