Completed his first season with the Tigers in 2012, appearing in 57 games.
• Sixth among all American League relievers with 5.17 strikeouts per walk.
• Did not allow a run over his first nine appearances April 7-28, fanning 10 batters in 8.2 scoreless innings.
• Made the 700th appearance of his major league career on April 21 versus Texas -- became the 93rd pitcher in major
league history to appear in 700 games.
• Fanned a season-high four batters on May 26 at Minnesota -- equaled the high with four strikeouts on July 22 versus
the Chicago White Sox.
• Sidelined June 3-19 with right elbow inflammation.
• Posted a season-high four-game winning streak July 5-August 31.
• Compiled a 2-0 record, 1.86 ERA (9.2IP/2ER) and 11 strikeouts in nine outings during July.
• Posted a 2-0 record and 1.69 ERA (16.0IP/3ER) in 14 appearances during August.
• Limited righthanded hitters to a .197 batting average (27x137)...lefties batted .288 (23x80) against him.
