• Named to Baseball America’s High Single A all-star squad following the season.
• Led the Carolina League with a .488 slugging percentage, while he finished fourth with 138 hits and a .394 on-base
percentage, tied for fourth with 33 doubles and finished fifth with 205 total bases and 45 extra-base hits.
• Tabbed the best defensive catcher in the Carolina League by Baseball America.
• Hit for the cycle on July 7 versus Salem.
• Earned TOPPS Carolina League Player of the Month honors for July after hitting .429 (42x98) with 11 doubles, a triple,
three home runs and 20 RBI in 26 games.
• Named the sixth-best prospect in the Indians organization and 10th-best prospect in the Carolina League following the
season by Baseball America.
Saw action with both Kinston and Single A Columbus during the 2000 season.
• Assigned to Kinston to open the season -- played in 26 games before being sidelined May 25-July 19 with right
shoulder tendinitis.
• Had his contract transferred from Kinston to Columbus on July 19.
