COMERICA PARK STATUES<br />

Comerica Park features larger-than-life sculptures of six Tigers legends that<br />

overlook the field from the left field concourse. The sculptures feature Ty Cobb,<br />

Charlie Gehringer, Hank Greenberg, Willie Horton, Al Kaline and Hal Newhouser.<br />

They were designed by sculptor Omri Amrany and were cast in stainless steel.<br />

Gate A features a sculpture of legendary Hall of Fame broadcaster Ernie Harwell to<br />

greet fans as they enter Comerica Park.<br />

THE TIGER CLUB<br />

The Tiger Club, open on a membership basis, features approximately 20,000<br />

square feet of entertaining space. There is seating for 300 overlooking the playing<br />

field in right field, a bar for 200, a cigar bar and banquet facility.<br />

THE CHAMPIONS CLUB<br />

The Champions Club, open on a membership basis, <strong>com</strong>bines the perks of luxury<br />

seating with an open and relaxed lounge atmosphere. The Champions Club<br />

opened in 2006 and is located on the suite level down the left field line.<br />

GATED ENTRANCES<br />

There are three main gated entrances to Comerica Park, each featuring attractions<br />

on a grand scale. Among the features are immense 80-foot high baseball bats<br />

framing the gates, tiger sculptures and Pewabic tile accents.<br />

FANTASTIC FIREWORKS<br />

Not only is Comerica Park known for explosive action on the field, but also explosive action in the skies above.<br />

Beginning shortly after the park opened in 2000, fantastic fireworks displays have been held on select weekends<br />

throughout the season, adding unrivaled value and fun to an already exciting product.<br />

SPECIAL NEEDS ACCESS<br />

Comerica Park <strong>com</strong>plies with all <strong>guide</strong>lines of the ADA. In <strong>com</strong>pleting the facility, the Tigers worked extensively with<br />

organizations including The Paralyzed Veterans of America’s Michigan Chapter and the Michigan Commission for<br />

the Blind to ensure accessibility for all fans and a great baseball experience for guests who enter Comerica Park.<br />

THE TEAM<br />

The design team of HOK Sport and the Detroit-based Smith, Hinchman and Grylls served as architects for<br />

Comerica Park, while Huber, Hunt & Nichols, Inc., Turner Construction Company and White Construction Company<br />

joined forces to form Hunt-Turner-White as construction management team. Private financing accounts for more<br />

than 60 percent of Comerica Park, with partners including the Tigers and a bank syndicate led by Sumitomo Bank,<br />

Limited, Societe General, First Chicago NBD, Provident Bank of Maryland, First of America Bank, Standard Federal<br />

Bank and Michigan National Bank. Public financing participants include the Michigan Strategic Fund<br />

(infrastructure), City of Detroit Downtown Development Authority and Wayne County.<br />
