The 2013 season will mark Hill’s first season with the Tigers organization.
• Pitched for Canada during the World Baseball Classic in 2012.
• Participated in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece with Canada.
• Selected to participate in the Futures Game held prior to Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game in 2003.
SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
Assigned to Triple A Las Vegas after signing with the Toronto Blue Jays as a minor league free agent on June 18, 2012.
• Posted a six-game winning streak June 26-July 28, compiling a 3.60 ERA (45.0IP/18ER) during the seven-start stretch.
• Started one game with Canada during the qualifying round for the World Baseball Classic.
• Had his contract purchased from Las Vegas by Toronto on September 24 -- earned the win in his only relief outing with
the Blue Jays.
Signed by the Florida Marlins as a minor league free agent on January 24, 2011, he did not pitch after being released by
the Marlins on April 2 due to a pre-existing injury.
Signed by Toronto as a minor league free agent on January 28, 2010.
• Opened the season on the disabled list with Las Vegas, being sidelined April 8-July 29 with a right elbow ulnar
collateral ligament injury -- started four games with the Gulf Coast League Blue Jays as part of an injury rehabilitation
assignment July 8-29.
• Had his contract transferred from Las Vegas to Single A Dunedin on July 29 -- made one start with Dunedin before his
contract was transferred to Double A New Hampshire on August 3 for one start...had his contract transferred back to
Las Vegas on August 10.
• Sidelined August 26-September 4 with a right biceps strain.
• Had his contract purchased from Las Vegas by Toronto on September 7.
• Equaled a career high with seven strikeouts on September 23 versus Seattle.
• Unconditionally released by Toronto on November 17.
After being unconditionally released by the Washington Nationals on March 20, 2009, he signed a minor league contract
with the San Diego Padres on March 24.
• Made San Diego’s Opening Day roster -- started three games with the Padres before landing on the disabled list for
the remainder of the season on April 26 with right elbow inflammation.
• Unconditionally released by the Padres on October 12.
Opened the 2008 season on Washington’s disabled list, being sidelined March 21-April 18 due to forearm extensor
tenosynovitis.
• Assigned to Single A Potomac as part of an injury rehabilitation assignment on April 8 -- started one game with Potomac
before his injury rehabilitation assignment was transferred to Triple A Columbus on April 18.
• Tossed eight innings on April 30 versus Atlanta to equal a career high.
• Landed on the disabled list for the remainder of the season on June 25 with a right forearm strain.
Made Washington’s Opening Day roster out of Spring Training for the first time in 2007, marking the first time he was on
an Opening Day roster at the major league level.
• Established a career high with eight innings pitched on April 26 at Philadelphia.
• Sidelined May 12-August 14 with a left shoulder strain -- assigned to Potomac as part of an injury rehabilitation
assignment on July 30, starting two games before his injury rehabilitation assignment was transferred to Columbus on
