time in his career -- second in the National League with 83 appearances.
• Led all National League relievers with 118 strikeouts, while he finished second with 97.1 innings pitched, a .173 batting
average against and 5.36 hits per nine innings, third with 10.91 strikeouts per nine innings, fourth with a 1.85 ERA and
tied for seventh with six wins.
• Posted a 0.58 ERA (46.2IP/3ER) and 57 strikeouts during a 40-outing stretch June 27-September 18.
• Compiled a 1.05 ERA (43.0IP/5ER) in 39 appearances following the all-star break...posted a 2.48 ERA (54.1IP/15ER)
in 44 outings prior to the all-star break.
Completed his second season with Houston in 2001, establishing a career high with 145 strikeouts.

• Fanned a season-high 10 batters for the Mets on August 6 versus Los Angeles.

season between Double A Binghamton and Norfolk -- sixth among all minor league pitchers with 200 strikeouts.
