<strong>2013</strong> TIGERS<br />

Earned both mid- and post-season all-star honors in the Midwest League during the 2000 season while playing with<br />

Single A West Michigan.<br />

• Recorded a season-high seven-game hitting streak April 14-24, batting .333 (11x33) with a double and six RBI.<br />

• Batted .350 (28x80) with 16 runs scored, six doubles and 13 RBI in 21 games during June.<br />

• Forced to serve as the designated hitter in each game he played after July 23 due to an impingement in his right<br />

shoulder...sidelined for most of August with the injury, which forced him to undergo surgery in the off-season.<br />

• Swiped four bases on September 1 at Burlington.<br />

• In three games during the Midwest League playoffs, he hit .100 (1x10) with three stolen bases.<br />

• Selected as the 92nd-best prospect in baseball prior to the season by Baseball America.<br />

• Named the second-best prospect in the Tigers organization and sixth-best prospect in the Midwest League following<br />

the season by Baseball America.<br />

• Named the best defensive shortstop in the Midwest League by Baseball America.<br />

Saw action with both the Gulf Coast League Tigers and Single A Oneonta in 1999.<br />

• Combined to hit .326 between his two stops, second-best among short-season league switch-hitters and fourth-best<br />

among short-season league shortstops.<br />

• Led the Gulf Coast League Tigers with 20 stolen bases.<br />

• Posted a 12-game hitting streak July 7-27, batting .400 (20x50) with four doubles, a triple and four RBI.<br />

• Hit safely in 11 of his 12 games with Oneonta August 22-September 2...batted .340 (17x50) with nine runs scored, a<br />

double, two triples, a home run and eight RBI.<br />

• Swiped four bases on August 31 versus Lowell.<br />

• Named the second-best prospect in the Gulf Coast League following the season by Baseball America.<br />

Signed by the Tigers as a non-drafted free agent on July 29, 1998.<br />
