Enters her 15th season as the head of the Tigers grounds crew after joining the club on January 19, 1999.
• According to a survey of teams, she is believed to be the first female head groundskeeper in the modern history
of Major League Baseball.
• Inducted into the West Michigan Whitecaps Hall of Fame on January 19, 2011.
• Served on the grounds crew for the 2010 NFL International Series in London, England.
• Served on the grounds crew for each of the last 10 Super Bowls, beginning with Super Bowl XXXVIII at Reliant
Stadium in Houston, TX...also served on the grounds crew for the 2010 NFL Pro Bowl at Sun Life Stadium in
Miami, FL.
• Named one of Crain’s Detroit Business’ 40 under 40 in 2006, as one of the top individuals who have achieved
solid business success before the age of 40.
• Received the Dick Ericson Award from the Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA) in 2001, one of the highest
awards issued by the association.
• Born in Detroit and raised in Milford, MI, she attended Northern Michigan University and Lansing Community
College…graduated from Michigan State’s Sports Turf Management Program in 1993.
• Performed an internship at Michigan State in athletic grounds in 1993.
• Worked 1993 and 1994 as a groundskeeper at the Toronto Blue Jays Spring Training camp in Dunedin, FL.
• Joined the Single A West Michigan Whitecaps as head groundskeeper in 1994…remained with the Whitecaps
until joining the parent club in Detroit.
• 42 years of age...is an avid downhill skier in the off-season.

TIGERS MONTHLY SAVES RECORD
Todd Jones established the Tigers single-month saves record with 13 saves for the club during May of the 2006 season.
Jose Valverde joined Jones to become the only two pitchers in franchise history to register 10-or-more saves in a single month,
doing so in August of 2011. The following is the list of the top 19 single-month saves totals in club history:
