7–30 The New York Test Cycle was developed in the 1970's in order to simulate driving in downtown congested areas. The US06 driving cycle was developed as a supplement to the Federal Test Procedure. It is a short-duration cycle (600 seconds) which represents hard-acceleration driving. Figure 7.7.
