addition <strong>Eberhard</strong> now pursued a clearly conceived purpose with Inner L<strong>and</strong>. To<br />

Inner L<strong>and</strong> was to promote peace <strong>and</strong> reconciliation. It was to help esablish true<br />

human nature <strong>and</strong> fellowship in <strong>the</strong> time after <strong>the</strong> war (which, of course, must<br />

first be concluded). Inner L<strong>and</strong> was published five months before <strong>the</strong> war’s end, in<br />

July 1918, by <strong>the</strong> Furche Publishing House in Berlin. 34<br />
