marriage <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> within written persons, and <strong>the</strong>y were dispensed for <strong>the</strong><br />

double fourth degree <strong>of</strong> consanguinity and <strong>the</strong> impediment <strong>of</strong> spiritual<br />

cognition foresaid. On all which James Douglas <strong>of</strong> Drumlangrik,<br />

knight, asked instruments. Done at Drumlangrik, 5 past noon, in<br />

comptit, as said is," and renounce all action to <strong>the</strong> said James, son and<br />

heir <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> said late William, and his late fa<strong>the</strong>r's colleagues and<br />

probably 1569], witnesses, Alexander Stewart <strong>of</strong> Garoleis, younger,<br />
