Johneston in <strong>the</strong> Nuke, and o<strong>the</strong>rs. Subscribed, "James comendator<br />

A Confirmation <strong>of</strong> this Tack was given under <strong>the</strong> Privy Seal at<br />

Halyruidhous, 28 September 1594, containing a clause that it should be<br />

valid to <strong>the</strong> persons for enjoying <strong>the</strong> teindsheaves according to <strong>the</strong><br />

rights, " Notwithstanding quhatsumeuir crymes, <strong>of</strong>fences, and transgressioniss<br />

committit be <strong>the</strong> said commendator, and notwithstanding<br />

quhatsumeuer rebellioun aud denunciationis <strong>of</strong> horningis led and execute<br />

aganis him for quhatsumeuir cans or occasioun bipast."<br />

180. Imprimus, ane tack <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> teynd <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> haill paroch <strong>of</strong> Penpunt,<br />

except Auchingassle, sett be <strong>the</strong> comendator <strong>of</strong> Hollywood to James<br />

Douglas <strong>of</strong> Drumlangrig for 3 years, dated 20 October 1525.<br />

181. Item, ane Tack sett be William, abbot <strong>of</strong> Corseragle, as comendator<br />

<strong>of</strong> Hollywood, to James Douglas <strong>of</strong> Drumlangrig, <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> lands <strong>of</strong><br />

Auchinhesne, during his lifetyme, and for nyntein yeares <strong>the</strong>reafter,<br />

dated 10 May 1539, with ano<strong>the</strong>r tack <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> saids teynds to <strong>the</strong> said<br />

James, dated 16 May 1534.<br />

182. Item, ano<strong>the</strong>r tack <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> teynds <strong>of</strong> Eccles and Scair set be <strong>the</strong><br />

comendator <strong>of</strong> Hollywood to James Douglas <strong>of</strong> Drumlangrig for 19<br />

years, dated 12 November 1554.<br />

183. Item, <strong>the</strong> provision <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Kirk <strong>of</strong> Penpunt be <strong>the</strong> Archbishop<br />

<strong>of</strong> St. Andrews, granted to John Tailzior, dated 1557.<br />

184. Item, ane confirmation in favours <strong>of</strong> William Tailzior, <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

teynds <strong>of</strong> Penpunt, dated day 1557.
