50 01 Lead edge image position [Function]<br />

Used to adjust the copy image position and the lead edge void amount on copy paper. The<br />

adjustment is made by adjusting the image scan st<strong>ar</strong>t position at 100% and the print st<strong>ar</strong>t position<br />

(resist roller ON timing). When this simulation is executed, the current set value is displayed<br />

in 2 digits. (Center value: 50)<br />

When [Exposure mode selector] key (or [<br />

setting mode and the display <strong>ar</strong>e changed.<br />

[Adjustment procedure]<br />

1) Set the print st<strong>ar</strong>t position (AE lamp ON) (A), the lead edge void amount (TEXT lamp ON)<br />

(B), and the scan st<strong>ar</strong>t position (PHOTO lamp ON) (C) to 0, and make a copy of a scale at<br />

100%. (AR-203E/<strong>5420</strong>)<br />

For the AR-M200/M201, the following LED’s <strong>ar</strong>e lighted:<br />

AE lamp/COPY mode lamp: (A)<br />

TEXT lamp/PRINT mode lamp: (B)<br />

PHOTO lamp/SCAN mode lamp: (C)<br />

2) Measure the image loss (Rmm) of the scale.<br />

Set C = 10 x R (mm). (Example: Set to 40.)<br />

When the value of C is increased by 10, the image loss is decreased by 1mm. (Default: 50)<br />

3) Measure the distance (Hmm) from the paper lead edge to the image print st<strong>ar</strong>t position.<br />

Set A = 10 x H (mm). (Example: Set to 50.)<br />

When the value of A is increased by 10, the image lead edge is moved to the paper lead<br />

edge by 1mm. (Default: 50).<br />

4) Set the lead edge void amount to<br />

B = 50 (2.5mm). (Default: 50)<br />

(Example)<br />

When the value of B is increased by<br />

10, the void is extended by about<br />

Distance from the paper lead edge<br />

to the image lead edge, H = 5mm<br />

0.1mm. (For 25 or less, however,<br />

the void amount is reg<strong>ar</strong>ded as 0.)<br />
